We are very proud to be the first periodontal practice in Nicosia to offer UK Good Practice standards to our patients in every aspect of their dental treatment. Our periodontist has been trained in a world-renowned institution and has ascertained wide clinical experience with managing gum disease around teeth and dental implants.
She is also highly-skilled in aesthetic surgery which may be carried out to correct soft tissue defects. Dr Talioti was trained in the placement of osseous dental implants; the state-of-the-art way to replace missing teeth and also in the management of saving failing dental implants. During your first visit with us, our team will provide a thorough clinical and radiographic examination and establish a working diagnosis.
A treatment plan will be drawn and possible options and costs will be discussed with you in order for a final plan to be established. Our aim is to educate and inform you regarding your problem so that once oral health is achieved, preventative measures shall be undertaken so that deterioration of your periodontal status can be avoided in the future. Dr. Elena Talioti - Periodontist, Implantologist, Dental Surgeon
Dr Talioti obtained her dental qualification from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009. She went on to complete a year as a Vocational Dentist at Dawley Dental Practice in Telford where she obtained knowledge and expertise in treating patients in General Dental Practice under the NHS. She was then employed as a Senior House Officer at the Oral and Maxillofacial Department of Worcestershire Royal Hospital where she honed her Oral Surgery skills and carried out sessions of intra-venous sedation for nervous patients.
In 2011, Dr Talioti commenced a three-year full time specialist training program at Barts and the London in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. During this time she completed her Masters in Clinical Periodontology and thesis on Over-The-Counter Desensitising Agents for the Treatment of Dentine Hypersensitivity. She was awarded Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014 and was entered into the specialist register list of Periodontists of the General Dental Council of the United Kingdom.
She has been working as a periodontist since 2011; Dr Talioti has worked in London, Oxford and the Isle of Wight. She had the opportunity of working with both UK National Biolase trainers and has been trained in Dental Lasers in Periodontics. Dr Talioti was a clinical lecturer at Barts and the London and has played an active role in the theoretical and clinical training of undergraduate dental students. She is particularly interested in Aesthetic Gum surgery and Implant Dentistry.
